Thank you very much Clare for coming and entertaining the children at our Christmas party. They were fully engaged right from the start. A lovely selection of activities to suit the interests of all the children. We would love for you to come in again soon and would have no hesitation in recommending you to others.

Tracy, Rainbow’s Pre-School, Colden Common. January 2016

Thank you so much for designing and delivering an activity session for us based on the book 'Wild'. All 3 classes thoroughly enjoyed their time in the woods, gaining a good understanding of habitats, using imaginative ideas and tasks to excite and interest the children. The bug hotel that we built together will be a place we will visit time and time again.

YR, Rabbits, Foxes and Deer classes, Stoke Park Infant School, July 2015

Thank you so much for today. The pre-school children loved bringing the ‘Peculiar Pets' story to life, by having their own pets just like the girl in the story. The activities suited a wide range of ages and stages of development, with all children demonstrating high levels of  engagement. You really managed to capture their imagination, it was such a wonderful experience for them all.

My daughter and I enjoyed Curious Creatures for a year and a half. The sessions were so engaging and we both loved spending time exploring and sharing the amazing activities Clare provided. My daughter would leave every session telling me how much fun she'd had, it was perfect for my pre-schooler and I would highly recommend Curious Creatures to any parent.

Thank you for our time at Curious Creatures. Tiberius and Matilda really enjoyed the sessions and are already missing them terribly. It has sparked a great love for the outdoors and Tilly even wants to become an entomologist!

A big thank you from myself and on behalf of Laurel. We both very much enjoyed the Monday activities. Laurel gained a lot of confidence with outdoor activities and I know had some wonderful experiences.

I just wanted to say thank you so much again for Arlo's party on Friday. Everyone had such a fabulous time, and Arlo was just wired with excitement all day! I’ve had comments from several friends who have said their children were either talking non-stop about 'tiger woods' and 'tiger hill' or were still running round homes roaring with their masks pretending to be tigers!! I think that is testament enough!!!

It worked really well and I am so pleased that we stumbled across each other to make it happen!

Curious Creatures is a fab outdoors class for little ones and both my boys have loved every activity and being outside in the fresh air is a bonus! Every class is centered around a children's book and Clare creates activities which fit in with the theme of the book. My children have come home with so many wonderful creations Stick Man being a particular favourite! Would definitely recommend this class for anyone with inquisitive and outdoor loving little ones.

I have been a parent-helper with Curious Creatures for almost 3 years and those 3 years have been an absolute pleasure. It is such a joy to see so many children having fun, becoming more confident with ‘the great outdoors’,  and enjoying such a variety of activities. Sessions include listening to a theme-related story, followed by outdoor activities whatever the weather. Being outside with children who are loving every minute of the activity is such a pleasure – all the children get so involved and are so focused on having fun that the time flies by. My own children have learnt so much from Clare, who plans the events to ensure that the children learn about nature whilst having fun. Having such gentle fun with your own children and other children is an experience that I wouldn’t have missed for the world – it’s a chance to spend quality time with amazing children.

I have to recommend curious creatures in Otterbourne. By far the best group I have been to and I'm on my 3rd child. Well organised, educational and great for little explorers. I don't normally rave about groups but this one I think is fabulous.

Laura Roffey, September 2015

I would thoroughly recommend this. It's a refreshing change to other pre-school activities.

Emily Cole, September 2015

It's fantastic!!! We were in the woodland looking for bird food and colours of all sorts today, my little girl and her pal were ecstatic when they found worms and berries galore. Honestly the best pre school aged activity we have tried!

Liz Price, September 2015

My daughter and I have thoroughly enjoyed our time at Curious Creatures discovering a wide variety of books and associated activities which are perfectly pitched for the pre-school age group.  Clare is so enthusiastic and always comes up with a range of interesting activities using the outdoor resources available, whatever the weather.  My daughter enjoyed all the sessions but her two favourite activities were going on a bear hunt and making the bear a mud sandwich and going pond dipping and finding lots of mini beasts.

My older son came along to one session and kept asking when he could go again! If you enjoy being crafty and getting outdoors then I would recommend Curious Creatures to you!

It's been a long summer holiday according to our three year old who has missed his weekly Curious Creatures fix. We are just about to start our second year of Curious Creatures and our little boy can't wait. The sessions tend to have a similar rhythm -  story, songs, craft, wellies on and outside to explore - which really helps the little ones know what to expect. But the content and activities are different every week - particularly popular sessions in our house have been mini beasts, Scarecrow's Wedding and Jack Frost. It is so rewarding to see our little boy's knowledge of nature grow and share with him the changing seasons.

Clare is a fabulous leader, she plans and delivers each activity with heaps of imagination and ensures everyone gets the most from each session. We can't recommend Curious Creatures highly enough; it's educational, fun, and a great way to start our week - whatever the weather!

Clare's Curious Creatures activity sessions are inspirational and original. They are jam packed with brilliant ideas, and with so much thought and preparation put into every week Clare uses the meadow, woodland and pond in every way you can imagine. My two boys, 3 and 1, have had a magical time - captured by the stories and themes, finding hidden things in the woods, riding on broom sticks, making creatures from things they find and exploring mud. Our family is pretty outdoorsy but my husband and I have come away feeling energised and motivated about what the outdoor world has to offer little ones and how to inspire them.

My three year old triplets had a wonderful time exploring the changing seasons through the Curious Creature sessions. They thoroughly enjoyed the different stories and activities. Pond dipping was an particular favourite of ours! I am especially indebted to Clare as she made the sessions very easy for us, a family with triplets, to attend. She was always there with an extra pair of hands to make sure that the little ones got the most out of the hour!

Helena Staskiewicz, September 2014

My 4 year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoy these sessions at the Otterbourne eco lodge and reserve. Clare is fantastic with children, has a brilliant imagination, and comes up with new original ideas of things to do outdoors each week. She starts each session off with a story and a song, followed by an activity in the nature reserve based on the story of that week. We've done all sorts, from pond-dipping, to making owls out of pine cones, pretending to be birds in nests, following a treasure trail of stick footprints and clues, finding actual baby frogs hiding under rocks, making bog baby baths, and little turtles out of limpet shells and plasticine which we'd take swimming in the puddles! If you're looking for outdoor fun with your little one I can wholeheartedly recommend this!

Curious Creatures has been such a fantastic activity for my 2 little ones (almost 4 and almost 2)! It is great to see them running around and getting excited about exploring the great outdoors, examining bugs, jumping in puddles and letting their little imaginations soar! It is so nice to do something outdoors with them whatever the weather - it makes a wonderful change from all the usual indoor based children's groups. The meadow and woodland area is beautiful and the kids love seeing it change with the seasons - there is always something different to see and do each week! I would definitely recommend Curious Creatures for anyone with toddlers and pre-schoolers.

'Discovering Curious Creatures has been an absolute delight for my daughter and I. The classes are so original from the other pre-school classes offered. Every class is different and Clare's attention to detail is fantastic. It is an amazing experience to be outside and discover nature whilst doing craft, educational activities and enjoying the outdoors. A totally original class, which we look forward to every week'.

Tracy Dale, July 2014

‘My 3 year old son and I have been attending Curious Creatures for quite some time now. My previously mud-adverse son is now a fully-fledged outdoor discoverer, all thanks to Clare’s wonderful classes. Every week the session commences with a story with a nature theme, and all activities for that session are specific to that story. When the children go out onto the beautiful and constantly changing meadow to enjoy the activities, the stories magically come alive for them. Clare’s gentle but engaging nature has won over my usually fairly stubborn son, and he cannot wait to get to Curious Creatures every week. He caught a newt while pond dipping during today’s session and has been telling anyone who will listen! We both adore Clare’s classes and I look forward to continuing for as long as we can before he goes to school.’

Emily Blackledge, June 2014

‘Clare always puts an enormous amount of effort into each session to make it enjoyable and rewarding for the children - I love how she creates the activities based on a story book. My son is extremely cautious and anxious but attending Curious Creatures has been such a benefit to him. Just seeing him picking up a leaf from the ground is fantastic progress!'
